Notes for Practical Match to be held simultaneously with CSFED – September 2009

As an additional attraction when CSFED shooters visit to the Isle of Man we will be running a practical pistol event during the CSFED event period.

Whilst not an IPSC sanctioned or recognised event, the match will follow IPSC rules as to safety and scoring. The match will comprise of ten stages run over a two day period and will require approximately 250 Rounds in total.

It will be open to teams and individuals from visiting Nations and the Isle of Man. Teams may comprise a maximum of five competitors and the highest aggregate mean score of the top three competitors in each team will formulate the result for each team. The minimum number of competitors to qualify for team status is three.

Competitors will be required to register an entry for both team and individual status to be scored in both categories. Classes available are Open, Standard, Production, Modified and Revolver.

Importantly, as this is an open, non-affiliated or authority sanctioned event, we intend to offer the opportunity to competitors to compete in one or more classes. However, team entries must be of homologous class to qualify for the overall team results. Medals will be awarded to winning competitors irrespective of the number of competitors in each class category.

For the paramount reason of safety this event is only open to competitors who have completed an approved basic pistol safety course which entirely encompasses the use and presentation of a ready condition pistol from a holster. Proof of relevant qualification will include a signed declaration from each competitor's Club Secretary or a current IPSC Region Competitor Licence.

These must be presented at event registration .
